Apex Life Sciences has an exciting Direct Hire opportunity for an Experienced Chemist or Engineer who is thinking about going into Sales!
This is a great chance to put your technical skills to work selling to the Pharmaceutical, Flavors and Fragrances, and AgroChemical industries, just to name a few.
The ideal candidate will have a BS in Chemistry or Chemical/Mechanical Engineering with several years of industry experience or an MS or PhD.
This position will be based on the West Coast. 50% Overnight travel is required.
Key responsibilities:
+ Responsible for a geographical sales territory including achievement of planned revenue, account development and implementation for all products and services manufactured by the business unit.
+ Create strong, collaborative relationships with customers, networking with their technical, operations and purchasing organizations. Use voice of customer to refine and strengthen business development plans.
+ Develop insights into markets and territories. Assess and use market and competitor intelligence in the creation and refinement of business development plans.
+ Responsible for achieving budgeted revenue for the assigned territory, and making recommendations for exceeding those targets.
+ Responsible for obtaining, communicating, and identifying opportunities, competitive information, customer needs, trends, influences, including market, on all accounts for the territory.
+ Responsible for management of all sales activities and regular customer visits within the sales territory. Responsible for identifying and developing new accounts within the sales territory.
+ Works closely with business unit R & D group as a consultant to clients in technical matters.
+ Manages all commercial activity within assigned territory.
+ Acts as a liaison between company and customers to facilitate and enhance working relationships to ensure customer needs are met.
+ Submits to business unit sales/commercial management competitive market information and provides guidance relating to potential business acquisitions. Establishes and maintains a market intelligence system.
+ Responsible for all products of the business units represented for maximizing sales. Develops and implements comprehensive sales plans for the territory in concert with the sales marketing organization. Organizes territory sales forecasts.
+ Attends trade/technical shows and gives technical presentations to customers.
Are you the ideal candidate?
+ Bachelor?s Degree in a technical field such as Chemistry, Life Sciences, Chemical/Mechanical Engineering required.
+ Master?s Degree and PhD in relevant field is desired but not essential.
+ Previous industry experience in a similar commercial role will be advantageous but is not essential
+ You will be highly motivated individual with excellent communication, organization and time management skills.

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
