Vacancy: Global EHS Director, Health
Location: Scotland (Edinburgh) ? or US (West Deptford)
We have an exciting opportunity for an EHS Director to join JM Health Sector. This role can be based in either Edinburgh (UK) or West Deptford (US) with ability to travel. This role is responsible for creating and executing the Sector EHS strategy and has full accountability for the Sector's compliance with JM EHS standards, legislation and regulations. The role will work with Operational Leads in each business to build an EHS excellence culture across all our JM sites.
Key responsibilities
Devise and drive EHS excellence strategy across the Sector, combining regulatory affairs/all external regulatory requirements with business needs
Develop internal EHS processes and policies to ensure the Sector's compliance with EHS JM corporate policies and EHS legislations and regulations across geographies
Drive improvements in Process Safety Management and execution of JM's Life Saving Policies across sites.
Responsible for surveillance of the external EHS regulatory environment and advising business leaders of relevant country regulatory change of requirements (SDS, TSCA, REACH, COMAH...), proposing and developing mitigating plans with the local teams.
Assess risk and mitigation profiles for the laboratories, pilot plant scale and full reactor manufacturing
Evaluate sector skill levels, develop talent, and manage performance against Sector objectives.
Develop Sector's EHS learning and development programmes/training delivery schemes in line with JM Group EHS policies and apply across business-units/sub-business units
Ensure a robust and effective Management of Change (MoC) process across all businesses with associated capabilities in place in relation to Technical Authorities
Define and drive Health Sector's EHS compliance surveillance plan and risk scoring elements
Structure, coordinate and implement the Sector's Business Continuity Plan regarding EHS risks
Responsible for coordination of compliant, cost-effective chemical waste management program.
Are you the ideal candidate?
You will:
Relevant degree, ideally from a scientific/EHS/regulatory affairs discipline
An established leader with experience of leading EHS for international business of comparable scale and complexity
Practical experience with Process Safety Management for Chemical industry
Significant experience of leading cultural change and building an EHS excellence culture
Experience with plant chemical waste management regulations & programs
Extensive experience in EHS leadership
Experience in creating and executing formal Risk Management programs
Knowledge and Experience in attainment of ISO 14001 certification
Experience in the speciality chemicals sector
Relevant professionally accredited EHS related qualification
Driving and facilitating Change with High impact Communication
Influencing abilities - a leader with strong listening skills
Strong team player with excellent interpersonal skills - Collaborative yet challenging and constructive
Experience of building and developing a high performing team.

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
